Zeynep is a postdoctoral researcher with a strong research interest in the organizational and behavioral aspects of cybersecurity. Her work has been published in Computers & Security, ICIS, and other conferences. She currently has two manuscripts under review: one invited for second round of review at MIS Quarterly and another under first round of review at Journal of Management Information Systems. She has also co-authored an article in The Wall Street Journal on cybersecurity policy compliance.

She has developed a record of academic service, serving as an active reviewer for leading IS and security journals, including MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Syetems European Journal of Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, and Computers & Security.​

With a highly interdisciplinary background, she holds a BS in Engineering, an MS in IT Auditing and Cybersecurity, and doctoral training in Information Systems. Before entering academia, she worked as an internal auditor at the Informatics and Information Security Research Center of Turkey. Her research now focuses on developing theories around emerging and underexplored phenomena in cybersecurity governance and workforce management.
